Capital Area Training Consortium

Capital Area Training Consortium is a seven county consortium primarily federally funded by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, through the U.S. Department of Labor to provide workforce services to employers, youth, adults, and dislocated workers.

Capital Area Policy Board

The Capital Area Policy Board is a fourteen member board composed of an elected official (Boards of Supervisors) and a top administrator from each of the Consortium's seven member counties. The Policy Board, in concert with the Workforce Investment Board plans, directs, monitors, and evaluates the area's One Stop Career Centers, and related programs and services. The Policy Board is also responsible for appointing members to the Workforce Investment Board and for ensuring the fiscal integrity of the Consortium's programs.

Capital Area Workforce Investment Board (WIB)

Capital Area Workforce Investment Board is a forty-eight member, volunteer board. Fifty-one percent of the WIB's members are business owners, CEOs or senior level executives. The remaining members represent local education, organized labor, community based organizations, economic development, and One Stop Partner Programs.

Richmond, Virginia(West End): Travel East on highway 64 to the Airport exit. Drive a half mile to the light. Make a right turn onto Williamsburg Road (Route 60) westbound. Travel approximately 1 (one) mile. Capital Area Training Consortium is located on the right at 5410 Williamsburg Road.

Richmond, Virginia (East End): Travel West on highway 64 to Airport Drive exit. Drive a half mile to the light. Make a right turn onto Williamsburg Road (Route 60) eastbound. Travel approximately 1 (one) mile. Capital Area Training Consortium is located at 5410 Williamsburg Road.

Richmond, Virginia (North): Travel south on Laburnum Avenue, turn left onto Williamsburg Road (Route 60). Travel east on Williamsburg Road about 1 (one) mile. Capital Area Training Consortium is located at 5410 Williamsburg Road.

Richmond, Virginia (South): Travel north Laburnum Avenue, turn right onto Williamsburg Road (Route 60).  Travel east on Williamsburg Road about 1 (one) mile. Capital Area Training Consortium is located at 5410 Williamsburg Road.

Petersburg, Virginia: Travel North on I-95 to the Falling Creek/Chippenham Parkway Exit 67 (Route 150). Travel North on Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) to the Ironbridge Road (Route 10) Exit. Take Ironbridge Road (Route. 10) towards Chesterfield. Turn right at the traffic signal, at the intersection of Ironbridge Road and White Pine Road (entrance to the Chesterfield Industrial Park). Continue approximately 1/4 mile on White Pine Road. CATC is the first building on the left, 7333 White Pine Road. The sign on the building is Capital Area Training Consortium.

Colonial Heights, Virginia: Travel on Ironbridge Road (Route 10) towards Richmond. Turn left at the traffic signal at the intersection of Ironbridge Road and White Pine (entrance to the Chesterfield Industrial Park). Continue approximately 1/4 mile White Pine Road. Continue South on Chippenham Parkway (Rte 150) to the Ironbridge Road (Route 10) Exit. Take Ironbridge Road (Route10) towards Chesterfield. Turn right at the traffic signal at the intersection of Ironbridge Road and White Pine Road (entrance to the Chesterfield Industrial Park). Continue approximately 1/4 mile on White Pine Road. North Richmond, Virginia of The James River via I-95: Travel South on I-95 across the river. Take the Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) Exit.
