Career Resource Centers are currently located in Chesterfield and Henrico County. All resources and services available are free.

Phone/Fax
A telephone and fax machine is available for job search and training related activities only.

Copying Services
Copy services are available for job search related activities.

Computers
Computers are available for use in preparing resumes, cover letters and conducting other job search activities, including internet search. Software includes Microsoft Office 2000,WinWay Resume Deluxe, Typing Tutorial, and other specialty software related to job search. All work must be saved to a disk. If you wish to save your work, bring your own disk (3.5" high-density). There is a 45-minute limit for computer use when others are waiting.

Laser Printers Printers are available.

TV/ VCRs A re available to use for self-directed instruction. A tape library is available which includes many usefulsubjects on the job search/ interview process.

he Career Resource Center offers a variety of ways to locate job opportunities. Included are:

  • Automated Labor Exchange (ALEX) - on-line database of current job openings listed through the Virginia Employment Commission.
  • A bulletin board of job opportunities received by the Career Resource Center from area businesses.
