The Capital Area Training Consortium provides for computer use and Internet access for employment or training-related business ONLY. To assist your efforts a listing of job-related web sites is available from staff.
Each customer will be limited to one (1) hour of computer access time at one session. Customers are limited to printing 15 pages per visit. Larger documents may be downloaded to a floppy. All copyright and licensing laws must be observed.
Computer access cannot be used for any purpose beyond employment or training-related purposes. Personal, sensitive, or classified materials access is strictly prohibited. (Intentional deletion or damage to files and data belonging to other users will not be allowed).
Key computer use restrictions:
If customers are found using the computer for any unauthorized activity or in violation of this policy, they will be prohibited from further use or access.
Capital Area Training Consortium reserves the right to limit or restrict computer use and determine appropriate Internet sites.

The Career Resource Center has a wide variety of resource materials available for customers' use in researching employment or training opportunities, financial aid and labor market information. The materials range in form from books to videotapes.

Please ask the staff for assistance in locating information.
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF DESIGNATED HANDOUTS, ALL RESOURCE MATERIALS SHALL BE USED IN THE CAREER RESOURCE CENTER. Materials are not available for check out.

To assist customers with their job search efforts, Capital Area Training Consortium provides copying services. These copy privileges are restricted to employment or training - related business. The maximum number of copies is fifteen (15) total pages per visit.
A separate "Copy Request Form" must be completed for each separate document. The completed "Copy Request Form" should be attached to the information to be copied. Place copy requests in the request basket located next to the receptionist desk. Staff will make the needed copies as soon as possible.
COPYING IS LIMITED TO EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING-RELATED BUSINESS.
Copying of copyrighted material or materials with proprietary rights is prohibited.
Capital Area Training Consortium reserves the right to limit and determine what documents are appropriate to be reproduced.

All customers utilizing the Capital Area Training Consortium's Career Resource Center will have the privilege of utilizing the copy machine located in the center for employment or training-related business ONLY. The maximum number of copies must be kept to fifteen (15) pages or less per visit. Primary purposes for copying should be for the following: Resumes, Job Applications, Cover Letters, Thank You Letters, Job Listing, etc.
Customers must record their name, date and number of copies being made on a copy log located in the Career Resource Center.
NO PERSONAL COPYING WILL BE ALLOWED. IF CUSTOMERS ARE FOUND USING THE COPY MACHINE FOR PERSONAL USE, STAFF WILL BE FORCED TO RESTRICT FURTHER COPY PRIVILEGES.
All questions concerning copy machine usage should be directed to the Career Resource Center staff.

Local fax service is available for customers, if the fax is related to employment or training. We will not transmit any documents not related to employment efforts. Capital Area Training Consortium reserves the right to designate what documents are appropriate to fax.
All customers must complete a "Fax Cover Sheet" for each individual fax request. Requests should be placed in the designated request basket located next to the receptionist desk in the Henrico Office and located on the bookcase between the two (2) computers in the (Chesterfield Office). Career Resource Center staff will fax requests as soon as possible.
After a fax is transmitted, staff will note the date and time transmitted on the request form and return the documents to the customer. In cases where customers leave the Resource Center prior to their fax requests being transmitted, the customer will be able to retrieve their documents at their next visit. When fax requests are left for transmittal they will be held two (2) weeks for customer pickup and then destroyed.
Staff will make two attempts to resubmit faxes that receive a busy signal. Remember that is your responsibility to verify the correctness of fax numbers and to verify receipt by the receiving party.
Capital Area Training Consortium is not a receiving point for fax not related to employment and training efforts. Inappropriate incoming faxes will be discarded.
Capital Area Training Consortium reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of material and documents that is either outgoing or incoming.

Customers' use of telephones is restricted to local calls for employment or training-related business. Telephone calls must be limited, so that all customers will have an equal opportunity to use the telephone.
Capital Area Training Consortium reserves the right to restrict telephone usage.
If customers are found using the telephone for personal use, they will be barred from further use of the telephone.
