Volunteer Program

The Henrico County Human Resources Department offers opportunities for individuals to volunteer time and services to 30 different County departments through the Volunteer Services Program. There are many needs with jobs ranging from story time leaders, to clerical assistants, to theatre volunteers.

Our Goal

  1. To better serve the community by recruiting, placing, training and encouraging volunteers to work in County offices and programs.
  2. To enable the ounty government to better serve the needs of the community.
  3. To assist volunteers to make the best use of their leisure or non-committed time to improve the quality of their own lives as well as the lives of people in the community where they live.
