Leadership Development Program (LDP)

Henrico County's Leadership Development Program (LDP) encourages the professional growth of current and future County leaders by offering a competency-based framework and resources for the achievement of employee-designed learning goals.

The LDP, launched in 1996, won the 1997 International Personnel Management Association (IPMA) Virginia Chapter Achievement Award, the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) Excellent in Practice Innovative Practice Award, and the 1998 National Association of Counties (NACo) Achievement Award.
