The Commission was created in 1976. The role of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission is to represent the citizens of Henrico County by district and to provide citizens with a unified voice in planning recreation and parks programs, activities and services. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the third floor conference room of the Human Services Building, 8600 Dixon Powers Drive.

Purpose
The Henrico Historic Preservation Advisory Committee advises the Henrico County Board of Supervisors regarding the identification, interpretation, rehabilitation, protection and preservation of historical and cultural resources located within the County.
