Registration for free programs (that require registration) is available online. Go to the online registration page to set up an online account with Recreation and Parks. Once you have an account, you will be able to register online for these free programs beginning September 11 at 8 a.m.

Unless listed otherwise, programs are taught by Recreation Staff. All fitness, dance, and sports programs are taught by instructors who are nationally certified in their area(s) of expertise.

Three Lakes Nature Walk
For ages 50 and older. Begin your day with an informative tour of Three Lakes Nature Center. You will see a variety of animals that call central Virginia home. Historical Tours: Shelton House and Cold Harbor
For ages 50 and older. Join us as we tour one of the newest properties of the National Park Service known as the Shelton House and Rural Plains property. This property is over 125 acres and the house itself is not yet open to the public. This private tour will be led by a National Park Service Ranger and will include information on the house, grounds, and battles that took place on the property. Enjoy lunch on your own at The Shops at White Oak Village. Spend your afternoon exploring the Cold Harbor Battlefield as our interpreter explains the intense fighting that once took place. Mahjong
Originating in China 2,000 years ago, Mahjong is a game consisting of skill, strategy, calculation, and a certain degree of luck. All levels can enjoy the American version of this classic game. Supplies are provided.

Tennis Clubs
For ages 55 and older. If you enjoy challenging tennis with a large dose of fun, contact the Net Set or the Racketeers. Men and women can join in round-robin style social tennis at an intermediate level of play.

Cheswick Walking Club
It's fun and easy! Walk your way to improved health and fitness. This club combines fitness and fun for the walker who likes to socialize. Visitors are welcome. This group meets on Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-noon throughout the year at Cheswick Park. On the first Tuesday of each month, a club meeting is held at Belmont Recreation Center. S.A.L.T./Triad Council (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together)
S.A.L.T./Triad Council is a cooperative effort and working partnership between the County of Henrico Division of Police, County of Henrico Sheriff's Office, and senior citizens throughout Henrico. Its purpose is to develop, expand, and implement effective crime prevention and education programs for the benefit of our senior citizens and to improve the overall quality of life by making our communities a safer place to live.
S.A.L.T./Triad is a cooperative program sponsored nationally by the American Association of Retired Persons, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and the National Sheriff's Association.
