Minimum Eligibility Requirements: All programs have minimum eligibility requirements for participation. Minimum eligibility requirements may include, but are not limited to: age, prerequisite skills, safety, endurance, behavioral, personal care, and medical issues. For specific information on a program's minimum eligibility requirements, please contact the staff person listed below each class or program.

Unless listed otherwise, programs are taught by Recreation Staff. All fitness, dance, and sports programs are taught by instructors who are nationally certified in their area(s) of expertise.
Craft Corner

Teens Around Town
For ages 15-21. Open to individuals with developmental disabilities who meet minimum eligibility requirements. Looking for an opportunity to hang out with friends? Join this group for an evening of fun. Information: Kariayn Smith, 501-5135.
T.G.I.F.
For ages 18 and older. Open to survivors of brain injury who meet minimum eligibility requirements. Henrico Recreation and Parks and Chesterfield Parks and Recreation have teamed up to bring you TGIF. Every first Friday, area survivors of brain injury are invited to join us for a social event. If you enjoy dining, dancing, and recreating with good friends, you will want to be a part of this group. Information: Kariayn Smith, 501-5135.
Totally Tuesdays
For ages 18 and older. Open to individuals with developmental disabilities who meet minimum eligibility requirements. Join us every Tuesday in October for games, crafts, and physical activity. Every Tuesday will be totally different! Individuals must be able to participate in activities independently, including board games and craft projects. Henrico Recreation and Parks and Lakeside House have teamed up to bring you this annual event. Spend an afternoon enjoying the great outdoors, great music and activities with friends! The Great Outdoors

Participants will cook using various outdoor cooking methods. Come to class hungry because eating the classwork is a requisite! Participants must be able to independently maintain own personal care needs, tolerate three hours of moderate physical activity, follow staff direction and safety rules, and maintain appropriate social behavior. Ten Pin Bowling

Bowlers may only register for one of two league times. We will bowl two games each Saturday, so please bring $6 each time you come to cover the cost of both games. Steppin' Out Respite and Recreation
Open to individuals with developmental disabilities who meet minimum eligibility requirements. This program offers opportunities for peer interaction, development of social and life skills and a positive self-image through a variety of activities. Minimum eligibility requirements include age requirements, behavioral issues that compromise safety and certain medical needs. Participants must function with a maximum staffing support of 1:3. Dance Registration
Dance registration will be open to Henrico County residents EXCLUSIVELY for two weeks (10 business days). After the two-week period, remaining spaces will be available to anyone requesting them. Henrico County residents shall be defined as a person:
-with a mailing address within Henrico County.
-who resides in a group home located in Henrico County.
-who resides in a group home outside Henrico County but can document a home address within Henrico County (parent's or guardian's home only).
Don't Forget!
-Registration is first-come, first-served.
-Registration is required in advance.
-Payment will not be accepted at the door.
-Each participant's name and address must be provided at the time of registration.
-Each participant (or guardian if applicable) must sign the liability waiver on the registration form.

Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging, hosts three Friendship Cafés in Henrico County.
