Civil Process Section

The Henrico County Sheriff's Office is charged with the duty of executing the orders of the courts. In doing so, Deputies deliver and execute civil papers and civil process. These documents include:

• summonses, complaints and subpoenas
• writs of possession for real estate
• injunctions for protection against domestic violence
• writs of garnishment
• arrest orders/writs of bodily attachment

Service fees for civil documents are:

• $12 in state/per service
• $75 out of state/per service

Certain documents may require a bond for service processing.
