About Benefits

How can I apply for benefits?
See our page on how to apply for benefits.

How can I find out who my worker is?
If you have an ongoing or pending case with our agency, and do not know who your assigned worker is, call 501-4001.

If I live in the East End, why is my case now in the West End office?
Once we established intake in the East End office, the majority of the cases in the East End were sent to the West End. The East End satellite office houses only ongoing TANF cases. If you live in the East End and only have Food Stamps or Medicaid, your case will be transferred to a worker in the West End office. (The only exception to this are long term care Medicaid cases and some SSI Medicaid cases.)

What should I do if I suspect child abuse or elderly abuse?
For child abuse, you can call child protective services at 501-5437. (After 4:30 PM, call 1-800-552-7096.) For elderly abuse, call adult protective services at 501-7346. (After 4:30PM, call 1-888-832-3858.)
