Pesticides & Pesticide Training

 

 

The above Private Pesticide Applicator Recertification sessions have been scheduled for applicators in Goochland, Powhatan, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Charles City and James City counties. All sessions are free of charge with the exception of the CVNLA Short Course. Please register for the session of your choice by calling the telephone number listed for that session. Also, please proved the Trade Name and Formulation (for example Harmony GT or Command 4E) of atleast one pesticide product that you use routinely. This information will help us to prepare the training agenda.

Goochland Public Library, 3075 River Road West, Goochland, VA 23063
Take I-64 to exit #167 (Goochland/Oilville exit). Turn right on Rt. 617 at the end of the exit ramp. At the first traffic light (Route 250) turn right onto Route 250. Go about 0.5 miles and turn left on Route 632 (Fairgrounds Road). Go about 5.5 miles to Route 522 (Sandy Hook Road). Turn left on Route 522. At next traffic light, turn left on Rt. 6/522 South. The Library entrance will be the first right.

Hanover Department of Social Services, Hanover Human Services Complex, 12304 South Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005
The Hanover Department of Social Services is located at the Human Services Center Building on US Route 1 in Ashland, Virginia, approximately one mile past Rt. 54. Once you have turned into the parking lot, turn right and go to the end of the building. Turn left to go around the side of the building. Turn left at the rear parking lot. Keep straight past the employee parking lot to the meeting room parking lot on the other side of the Social Services building.

New Kent County Extension Office, 4301 B Olivet Church Road, Providence Forge, VA 23140
From I-64 East: Take exit 214, New Kent Courthouse/Providence Forge. At the end of the ramp turn RIGHT onto Rt155 (Courthouse Road). Travel approximately 3.5 miles to the stoplight. Turn RIGHT onto Rt 60 (Pocohontas Trail). Travel 1/4 mile, take first RIGHT hand turn onto Olivet Church Road. Travel 3/4 mile, keeping en eye out on the RIGHT for the sign designation the Providence Forge Commerce Park. Turn RIGHT at this sign, travel down the lane. The Extension office is the second building after turning. From I-64 West: Take exit 214, New Kent Courthouse/Providence Forge. At the end of the ramp turn LEFT onto Rt155 (Courthouse Road). Travel approximately 3.5 miles to the stoplight. Turn RIGHT onto Rt 60 (Pocohontas Trail). Travel 1/4 mile, take first RIGHT hand turn onto Olivet Church Road. Travel 3/4 mile, keeping en eye out on the RIGHT for the sign designation the Providence Forge Commerce Park. Turn RIGHT at this sign, travel down the lane. Providence Forge Recreation Center, 9900 Carriage Road, Providence Forge, VA 23140
From I-64 East or West, take the Providence Forge exit (Rt. 155 South). Travel Rt. 155 South toward Providence Forge. Turn left at Pocahontas Trail/ US-60E. Travel approximately 0.9 miles and turn left onto Carriage Road. The Recreation Center will be approximately 0.3 miles on the left.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is right off Interstate 95 and is convenient to Interstates 64 and 295.
