Henrico Fire is an organization of many dedicated professionals who work in a variety of disciplines within the emergency response network. From Administration, Business Management, Operations, Community Services, Fire Marshal’s Office, Training Section, Logistics, Emergency Medical Services, and Emergency Management. As a Metro Class department with over 500 personnel, Henrico Fire protects a community of 244 square miles and a population over 300,000 residents and visitors.

The Division is an “all hazards” fire department that responds to all types of incidents including fires, automobile accidents, medical emergencies, hazardous materials response, technical rescues and much more. Additionally, we pride ourselves in being involved in promoting emergency preparedness, fire prevention and a variety of life safety programs. Henrico Fire has a regional Hazardous Materials response team, Technical Rescue, Swift Water and Dive Rescue teams.
