The Risk Management Division's primary responsibility is to protect the County against losses which could significantly impact its personnel, property, or financial stability in providing services to the general public.
Risk also serves as the clearing house for almost all insurance-related activities for both the County government and Henrico County Public Schools. The division has primary responsibility for:

within the Risk Management Division assures that all County agencies and the Department of Education are in compliance with safety and health regulations mandated at the State and Federal levels.
The County's safety personnel presents numerous seminars on safe work practices, and are instrumental in our drivers being qualified for their Commercial Drivers License.
