Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program (VRIP)

On March 25, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved the Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program (VRIP). The County is offering this opportunity as a way to respond to current budget challenges while providing eligible employees with an incentive to ease the financial burden of retirement. On March 28, 2014, VRIP information packets were mailed to the homes of employees believed to be eligible for an unreduced VRS retirement by September 1, 2014. Any employee who did not receive a VRIP information packet and believes he or she is eligible should contact the Human Resources Benefits Division at 501-7371 to get help in researching eligibility for an unreduced VRS retirement.
