Certification Description
Henrico County is committed to encouraging employees who want to live healthier lives. The Certificate in
Fitness and Wellness lays the path for improved health, fitness, and well-being. Over the course of 30
weeks, employees are exposed to and encouraged to participate in a variety of fitness and wellness
activities. Each hour the employee spends engaged in an approved Fitness/Wellness Division program is
counted and credited towards the employee’s Certificate in Fitness and Wellness. Three certificate levels
allow for employees to achieve success based on individual goals, schedules, and time commitments.
