DATE: May 15, 2001 Varina District Supervisor Jim Donati is hosting a town meeting to focus on "Crime in Henrico and How to Prevent It," on Monday, May 21, at 7 p.m., at the Eastern Government Center, 3820 Nine Mile Road. Representatives from the Division of Police will join Donati to discuss steps residents can take to prevent crime through Community Policing and Neighborhood Watch programs. Donati regularly holds town meetings the third Monday of each month. His meetings are open to the public and he encourages everyone to attend. DATE: May 9, 2001 Fairfield District Supervisor Frank Thornton will discuss the proposed redistricting plan at a constituent meeting on Wednesday, May 16, at 7 p.m., in the Eastern Government Center's Multipurpose Room, 3820 Nine Mile Road. Representatives from Planning and the County Attorney's Office will join Thornton to present information and answer questions. Thornton's meetings are open to the public; he encourages residents to provide comments and propose alternatives to the redistricting plan. DATE: May 7, 2001 Tuckahoe District Supervisor Pat O'Bannon will host a free bus tour of the 1611 Citie of Henricus, Sir Thomas Dale's historic settlement, for her next town meeting on Wednesday, May 30. The bus will depart from the Government Center Administration Building, 4301 E. Parham Road, at 5:45 p.m. and will return around 9 p.m. to the same location. "This tour is a unique opportunity to visit Henricus Historical Park, discover its amazing history, and observe the incredible view of the James River," O'Bannon said.
