River City Band
Fri,  Apr 25, 7pm, Henrico Theatre
Based in a rich traditional bluegrass sound and set up, River City Band is a group that stays true to their down home roots while continuously exploring many different genres and tastes. With crisp, soulful harmonies, strong lead instruments, and a rhythm that can burn down the barn or hold your hand steadily through a beautiful waltz, the group can create the right mood and texture for any setting. Sheep Shearing
Sat,  Apr 26, 9-11am, Meadow Farm Museum
It is shearing time, and Meadow Farm is using historic hand shears on their herd of Gulf Coast Native sheep. Come watch the process and learn more about this rare breed and how their wool was used. Free. Information: 501-2130.

World Tai Chi Day
Sat, Apr 26, 9:30-11am, Deep Run Park
On the last Saturday of April each year, tens of thousands of people across the globe practice the ancient art of Tai Chi. This very special event will feature basic instruction in the Sun style for beginners and various demonstrations of other styles. At 10am, everyone will join together to practice Tai Chi as it moves in a wave across the earth. No previous experience necessary. Free! Information: 262-4924.

Spring Festival
Sat, Apr 26, 1-4pm, Walkerton Tavern
Join in the revelry of the spring season at one of Henrico County’s historical gems! Music by Chris Campbell, crafts, games, face painting, tours of the tavern, food and drink will be a part of this celebration. Free! Information: 261-6898.
