The County of Henrico participates in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It has been the practice of the County to provide an opportunity each year for qualifying organizations to submit proposals for the use of these funds, consistent the County's Five year Consolidated Community Development Plan. The Community Development Division of the Henrico County Department of Community Revitalization administers these funds and facilitates the application process.
For the upcoming 2013-14 Program Year, the County is now accepting proposals from qualified applicants seeking CDBG or HOME funds for eligible activities. The application submittal deadline is Friday, March 15, 2013 at 4:30 p.m.
Upon receipt of applications, proposals will be evaluated and recommendations for funding will provided to the County Board of Supervisors. Upon approval by the Board of Supervisors the County will submit its Action Plan to HUD by August 15, 2013, identifying programs to be funded.
