Stations 1, 5, and 14 – Building Inspections

  • Accepts permit applications for proposed construction, demolition, and alterations.

  • Reviews, approves, and issues permits for small additions, decks, porches, and accessory structures for single family dwellings.

  • Reviews, approves, and issues permits for plumbing, mechanical, electrical equipment, and installations for new single family dwellings that have already obtained a building permit.

  • Reviews, approves, and issues permits for alterations and additions to existing plumbing, mechanical, electrical systems to existing single family dwellings.

  • Reviews, approves, and issues sign permits.

  • Reviews, approves, and issues amusement device permits.

  • Reviews, approves, and issues electrical, plumbing, and mechanical permits for tenant up-fits that have already obtained a building permit.

  • Approves plan re-submittals filed in response to rejected inspections.

  • Provides advice concerning administrative and basic technical matters related to single family construction projects.

Stations 2, 6, and 15 – Planning

  • Reviews building permit applications for conformance with County land development regulations.

  • Reviews business license applications for conformance with zoning regulations.

  • Verifies zoning data/conditions.

  • Reviews permits for compliance with County land development requirements.

  • Responds to questions regarding zoning requirements, proffers and special use permits conditions, etc.

  • Provides information on County development review procedures including PODs, subdivisions, rezoning, variances, and special exceptions.

  • Reviews development related plans and applications for completeness.

  • Processes zoning complaints.

Station 3 – Public Works

  • Reviews and approves building permits for conformance with County regulations .

  • Provides information on County development review procedures, incding PODs, subdivisions, and special exceptions.

  • Provides assistance to citizens on flood plain inquiries.

  • Assists customers with road right-of-way and easements.

  • Interprets road plans, subdivision plats, and construction plans.

  • Provides assistance to customers regarding administrative and basic technical matters related to construction projects and drainage.

Station 4 – Public Utilities

  • Answers questions pertaining to availability of County water and sewer.

  • Answers questions about connection fees, off-site credits policy, water and sewer ordinance, plan approval and construction process.

  • Receives connection fees for water and sewer.

  • Reviews building permit applications for compliance with water and sewer code.

  • Reviews road permits for conflict with existing utilities.

  • Provides copies of water and sewer maps.

  • Reviews and approves certificates of occupancy.

Stations 8-10 – Public Access Station

  • Public access stations to view and print County Black and White maps.

Station 7 – Map Station

  • Provide assistance at Public Access Station to navigate through County maps and also print copies.

  • Pay for maps you have printed at Map Station.

  • Not comfortable with using a computer? Staff at this station will print a map copy for you.
